Co-supervision of doctoral students

It has now become official: the double degree PhD programme between UMCG and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP).

Existing collaborations

Strong cooperation has already been established in different areas of biomedical research, such as Nuclear Medicine, Epidemiological Oncology, and Medical Biology.

In addition to the joint supervision of students, UMCG researchers in all three areas have obtained a prestigious Brazilian Science without Borders grant to spend one month per year at USP. On the UMCG side this concerns Dr. Erik de Vries, Prof. dr. Truuske de Bock, and Dr. Marco Harmsen.
