Master and PhD Scholarships for Indonesian Students
Excellent Indonesian students have an opportunity to apply for funding to do their master or PhD studies abroad through the LPDP Scholarship Program. UMCG Supervisors who are in touch with an Indonesian prospective PhD student may request support from the Graduate School of Medical Sciences to facilitate the candidates application to LPDP funding.

For Prospective Master Students
The Graduate School of Medical Sciences offers several master programs. Prospective students need to:
- Hold a bachelor degree in a relevant field
- Meet the master program's English language requirements which are higher than LPDP minimum standards
- Be in possession of a letter of admission from the master program of their choice
- Be no older than 35 years of age at the time of selection

For Prospective PhD Students
PhD applicants need to:
- Hold a master degree in a relevant field
- Be accepted by a researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen
- Meet the English language requirements set by both LPDP and the UMCG supervisor (guideline TOEFL 92 IBT/IELTS 6.5)
- Be in possession of a letter of acceptance from the Graduate School of Medical Sciences
- Submit a summary of a research proposal approved by the UMCG supervisor
- Be no older than 40 years of age at the time of registration
Students who are admitted to the Groningen PhD program and who will obtain their PhD degree (also) from Groningen will receive a top-up of their monthly allowance to the standard for externally funded PhD students. Find more about this unique top-up policy here!

In order to prepare the letter of acceptance for LPDP PhD applicants, UMCG supervisors should provide the Graduate School of Medical Sciences with the information and documentation requested here.
