The Van Gogh Programme Travel Grant Call for Applications
The Van Gogh Programme is a travel grant that promotes exchanges between researchers in projects focused on developing science in a specific field of expertise. These projects usually involve fundamental research where multinational teams use each other’s facilities, unique collections and research methods.
The grant is between €1500 and €3500 per research term and covers travel (maximum of €350 per person per return trip) and accommodation expenses (up to €110 per person per day) from Dutch researchers travelling to France.
The deadline for applications is: 15 June 2018.
The grant will be awarded in December 2018 and projects will start in January 2019.
Who can apply?
Application is open to excellent researchers with an outstanding tenure track and international exposure. You have to be employed by a Dutch research and knowledge centre that collaborates with French researchers (or would like to). An important prerequisite is that young researchers, especially PhD students and post doc students, actively participate in the project and exchange visits. Your French colleagues can apply for a travel grant from the French Van Gogh Programme via Campus France.
Dutch and French experts in the field will review the applications submitted by the research teams. Only applications that have been positively reviewed by both the French and Dutch experts, will be taken into consideration for a travel grant.
