PhD Day Groningen 2017: "Your Talent Matters"
On the 22nd of September 2017, the annual PhD Day Groningen addresses the very critical aspects of career building for all PhD students: Continuous development, and the application of one’s transferable skills within and outside of academia. This year’s guest speakers will bring a vast array of views and experiences, helping attendees to gain a more rounded view on their future career opportunities.
Organizers are delighted to have Noble Prize winner prof. dr. Ben Feringa as keynote speaker. Other confirmed speakers include University of Groningen’s ’Lecturer of the Year’ dr. Malvina Nissim, co-founder and CEO of Artificial Intelligence software company birds.ai Camiel Verschoor, philosopher dr. Menno de Bree as well as prof. dr. Ingrid Molema representing the Talent Development program of the University of Groningen.
This year's PhD Day, expecting up to 800 attendees, will feature inspiring plenary sessions as well as more targeted workshops, and will end with an optional dinner and drinks. This day is interesting for all PhD students and for research master students!
