Department of Ophthalmology recruiting Student Assistants!

The Department of Ophthalmology at the UMCG aims to recruit a group of current Bachelor of Medicine students and BCN Masters students to assist with ongoing research.

You must be fluent in both Dutch and English. As a student assistant, your job will be to aid researchers in gathering data from healthy and clinical groups of subjects. Your role will be communicating between English and Dutch and you may also assist us in performing experiments. Various projects are currently active, which includes:

  • Intracranial pressure in glaucoma
  • Heritability of eye diseases
  • Light adaptation and motion detection
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • New perimetric techniques in glaucoma
  • And more…

If you are interested, you will be added to a group of student assistants who can be contacted by our researchers. Our studies are always ongoing, therefore you can be asked for your help at any time – you will be paid for your time. If you are looking to continue into research after your degree then this would look great on your CV!
